Anti-FA complementation group D2 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene FANCD2 in humans. The gene may also be known as Fanconi anemia, complementation group D2, FA-D2, FA4, FACD, FAD, and Fanconi anemia group D2 protein. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 164.1 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, plant, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
