Anti-ATP5C1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ATP5C1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ATP5F1C gene, which encodes ATP synthase F1 subunit gamma. The human version of ATP5C1 has a canonical amino acid length of 298 residues and a protein mass of 33 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the mitochondria of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the duodenum and kidney. Other names for this target antigen include ATP5C and ATP5CL1. Some ATP5C1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
