The gene may also be known as GON-10, HD1, KDAC1, RPD3, and reduced potassium dependency, yeast homolog-like 1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 55.1 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, plant, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
