Anti-Sirtuin 2 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene SIRT2 in humans. The gene may also be known as sir2, SIR2L, SIR2L2, NAD-dependent protein deacetylase sirtuin-2, and NAD-dependent deacetylase sirtuin-2. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 43.2 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, plant, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
