Anti-Peroxiredoxin 6 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene PRDX6 in humans. The gene may also be known as aiPLA2, 1-Cys, Brp-12, and 1-Cys PRX. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 25 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
