Anti-Diacylglycerol O-acyltransferase 2 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene DGAT2 in humans. The gene may also be known as ARAT, GS1999FULL, HMFN1045, acyl-CoA retinol O-fatty-acyltransferase, and diacylglycerol O-acyltransferase homolog 2. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 43.8 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, plant, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
