Anti-Erb-b2 receptor tyrosine kinase 4 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene ERBB4 in humans. The gene may also be known as HER4, ALS19, p180erbB4, receptor tyrosine-protein kinase erbB-4, and ERBB4 transcript variant I12DEL. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 146.8 kilodaltons in mass. The ERBB4 marker can be used to identify Brain Oligodendrocytes.* Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
