Anti-Platelet derived growth factor subunit A antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene PDGFA in humans. The gene may also be known as PDGF, PDGF-A, PDGF1, PDGF A-chain, and PDGF subunit A. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 24 kilodaltons in mass and antibodies to the PDGFA antigen may be useful for studying growth factor signaling. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
