Anti-Acetyl-CoA carboxylase alpha antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene ACACA in humans. The gene may also be known as ACAC, ACACAD, ACC, ACC1, acetyl-CoA carboxylase 1, and ACC-alpha. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 265.6 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, plant, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
