Anti-Calnexin antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene CANX in humans. The Calnexin protein has an expected mass of 67.6 kDa, but there are 3 reported isoforms. The protein may also be known as IP90, CNX, epididymis secretory sperm binding protein, and major histocompatibility complex class I antigen-binding protein p88. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including yeast, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat.
