Anti-EPA antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the EPA antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TIMP1 gene, which encodes TIMP metallopeptidase inhibitor 1. This protein is known to function in pathways of aging and cartilage development, among other biological roles. The human version of EPA has a canonical amino acid length of 207 residues and a protein mass of 23.2 kilodaltons. It is reported to be a secreted protein. Other names for this target antigen include CLGI and EPO. Western Blot is the most common application for the EPA antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
