ALS is a reported alias of the human protein 'superoxide dismutase 1', encoded by the gene SOD1. Anti-ALS antibodies are available from several suppliers. The full protein is reported to be 154 amino acid residues in length. Based on antigen name, there may be yeast, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat variants of this protein.
