Anti-Erg3 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Erg3 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SC5D gene, which encodes sterol-C5-desaturase. This protein is known to function in the metabolism of lipids, among other biological roles. The human version of Erg3 has a canonical amino acid length of 299 residues and a protein mass of 35.3 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the ER of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the duodenum and liver. Erg3 is a member of the Sterol desaturase protein family. Indicated applications for Erg3 antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
