Anti-IL8 antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene CXCL8, or 'C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 8' in humans. The 99-amino acid protein is a member of the Intercrine alpha (chemokine CxC) family and antibodies to the IL8 antigen may be useful for studying cytokine signaling. The cellular localization is predicted to be secreted.
