Anti-FCGR3B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein Fc gamma receptor IIIb. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 233 amino acid residues and a mass of 26.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and is secreted. It is noted to be expressed specifically by polymorphonuclear leukocytes (neutrophils). FCGR3B is a known receptor for the Fc region of immunoglobulins gamma. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation and protein cleavage. The FCGR3B marker can be used to identify Neutrophils.* Synonyms for this target antigen include CD16-I, CD16A, CD16b, FCG3, FCGR3, FCGR3A, FCR-10, and CD16. Over 760 citations in the literature describe the use of FCGR3B antibodies in research. These antibodies are most commonly used in Flow Cytometry experiments, among other applications.
