Anti-Cyclin dependent kinase 4 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene CDK4 in humans. The gene may also be known as CMM3, PSK-J3, and cell division protein kinase 4. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 33.7 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
