Anti-B-Raf proto-oncogene, serine/threonine kinase antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene BRAF in humans. The gene may also be known as B-RAF1, BRAF1, NS7, serine/threonine-protein kinase B-raf, and 94 kDa B-raf protein. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 84.4 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
