Creatine kinase antibodies are immunological tools used to detect the enzyme creatine kinase (CK), also known as creatine phosphokinase (CPK). It catalyzes the phosphorylation of creatinine, forming phosphocreatine. CK is present in high amounts in the heart, brain, and skeletal muscles. CK enzymes have two subunits, B (brain type) and M (muscle type), which results in 3 isoenzymes CK-MM, CK-BB and CK-MB. Creatine kinase is used as an indicator of heart attacks, muscular dystrophy, and acute kidney injury. Creatine kinase antibodies can be used for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence and ELISA kits. Visit the supplier page to know more about reactivity, conjugate/tag and clonality.
