Anti-Aiolos antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Aiolos antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the IKZF3 gene, which encodes IKAROS family zinc finger 3. This protein is known to function in B cell differentiation and the regulation of apoptosis, among other biological roles. The human version of Aiolos has a canonical amino acid length of 509 residues and a protein mass of 58 kilodaltons, although 16 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix and colon. Other names for this target antigen include AIO and IMD84. Western Blot is a widely used application for the Aiolos antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
