Anti-FKBP11 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein FKBP prolyl isomerase 11. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 201 amino acid residues and a mass of 22.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the pancreas and salivary gland. It is a member of the FKBP-type PPIase protein family.
The FKBP11 marker can be used to identify Plasma Cells.* Synonyms for this target antigen include peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase FKBP11, 19 kDa FK506-binding protein, 19 kDa FKBP, FK506 binding protein 11, 19 kDa, FK506-binding protein 11, and FKBP19. FKBP11 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some FKBP11 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
