Anti-CF antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene CFTR, or 'CF transmembrane conductance regulator' in humans. The 1480-amino acid protein is a member of the ABC transporter superfamily, ABCC family, CFTR transporter (TC 3.1.202) subfamily. The cellular localization is predicted to be nuclear and membrane-associated. Glycosylation sites have been reported.
