Anti-COPS3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein COP9 signalosome subunit 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 423 amino acid residues and a mass of 47.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the CSN3 protein family, COPS3 is a known component of the COP9 signalosome complex (CSN), a complex involved in various cellular and developmental processes. Synonyms for this target antigen include SGN3, COP9 signalosome complex subunit 3, COP9 complex subunit 3, COP9 constitutive photomorphogenic homolog subunit 3, JAB1-containing signalosome subunit 3, and CSN3. COPS3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of COPS3 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
