Anti-CSF3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein colony stimulating factor 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 207 amino acid residues and a mass of 22.3 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the IL-6 protein superfamily, CSF3 is known to be involved with cytokine-mediated signaling pathways and the cellular response to lipopolysaccharides. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include CSF3OS, GCSF, granulocyte colony-stimulating factor, filgrastim, granulocyte-colony stimulating factor, and C17orf33. CSF3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species. Over 120 citations in the literature describe the use of CSF3 antibodies in research. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
