Anti-CDGIi antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CDGIi antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ALG2 gene, which encodes ALG2 alpha-1,3/1,6-mannosyltransferase. This protein is known to function in protein glycosylation, among other biological roles. The human version of CDGIi has a canonical amino acid length of 416 residues and a protein mass of 47.1 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the membrane of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. CDGIi is a member of the Glycosyltransferase group 1 protein family.
