Anti-CD104 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CD104 is a known alias name of the protein integrin subunit beta 4, encoded by the ITGB4 gene in humans. This 1822-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in autophagy pathways and cell adhesion, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features palmitoylated and glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the cervix, urinary bladder, and cerebral cortex. Other synonyms for CD104 include GP150 and JEB5A. Western Blot is the most common application for the CD104 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
