Anti-Keratin 23 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene KRT23 in humans. The gene may also be known as CK23, K23, HAIK1, keratin, type I cytoskeletal 23, and CK-23. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 48.1 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
