Anti-Activating transcription factor 4 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene ATF4 in humans. The gene may also be known as CREB-2, CREB2, TAXREB67, TXREB, cyclic AMP-dependent transcription factor ATF-4, and DNA-binding protein TAXREB67. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 38.6 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
