Anti-Fibrillarin antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene FBL in humans. The Fibrillarin protein has a reported amino acid length of 321 and an expected mass of 33.8 kDa. The protein may also be known as FIB, NOP1, FLRN, RNU3IP1, rRNA 2'-O-methyltransferase fibrillarin, and 34 kDa nucleolar scleroderma antigen. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat.
