Anti-HEXIM P-TEFb complex subunit 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene HEXIM1 in humans. The gene may also be known as hexamethylene bisacetamide inducible 1, CLP1, EDG1, HIS1, MAQ1, and protein HEXIM1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 40.6 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
