Anti-CD235a antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The CD235a antigen is another term for the human protein glycophorin A (MNS blood group), encoded by the GYPA gene. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 150 residues and a mass of 16.3 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and it is expressed in the bone marrow and kidney. The CD235a protein is a member of the Glycophorin A protein family. Other alias names for CD235a include GPA and GPErik.
