We assessed caspase-3 expression in human brain microvascular endothelial cells under basal conditions and following irradiation-induced senescence. Caspase-3 levels were reduced in irradiated cells, further supporting the acquisition of an apoptosis-resistant phenotype associated with cellular senescence.

Primary antibody (1:1000) was incubated overnight at 4 °C, diluted in 5% BSA in TBS with 0.1% Tween® 20 (TBS-T).

Chemiluminescence, using SuperSignal™ West Pico PLUS Chemiluminescent Substrate (Thermo Scientific™) in iBright™ CL1500 Imaging System (Invitrogen™) equipment

Results Summary

Normalization was performed to the loading control β-tubulin. The antibody was able to detect with efficiency lower caspase-3 levels in irradiated cells, as expected.
