Product Name:

Recombinant Anti-MTCO1 antibody [1D6E1A8]

Catalog Number:

ab14705

Clone Number:

N/A

MT-CO1 is one of the subunits of mitochondrial respiratory complex IV. We used it as a representative subunit to see distribution across various complex assemblies on a native-PAGE gel.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Applications

Western blot

Sample

Mitochondrial fraction from Neuro2a cells

Primary Incubation

1:1000 in 1% BSA, Overnight at 4°C

Blocking Agent

5% BSA in Tris-buffered Saline Tween-20

Secondary Incubation

1:10000 HRP-conjugated anti-Mouse IgG, 1 hour at RT

Tertiary Incubation

N/A

Detection

ECL detection in documentation system. (Vilber Lourmat)

Results Summary

The antibody shows multiple bands corresponding to complex IV on a native gel. The individual complex IV (HC in the image) is the most prominent band whereas the higher bands (SC) indicate supercomplexes formed by interaction of complex IV with Complex III in different stoichiometries.

Additional Notes

Do not boil the samples (for native or sds page) to detect with this antibody. Read antibody manual carefully.
