Product Name:

Z-Leu-Leu-Leu-al (MG132)

Catalog Number:

C2211-5MG

Info: Supplier Page

The ubiquitin-proteasome system is the main protein degradation machinery in cells. To study the effect of proteasome inhibition on the cellular proteome, I used Z-Leu-Leu-Leu-al, a synthetic peptide commonly known as MG132, that binds and blocks the 26S proteasome.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

Cell culture treatment

Starting Material

Neuro2a cells

Tips

Aliquot and freeze for longer storage.

Results Summary

MG132 effectively blocks the ubiquitin-proteasome machinery as seen in the western blot with increase in ubiquitinated proteins.
