We synthesized a Schiff base using an amine and an aldehyde. This product will be then linked to a larger scaffold exploiting the imine moiety.

Note that it is corrosive, and flammable.
After protecting just one of the amine, we were able to link the compound to and aldehyde using 1 equivalent of the amine and 1 equivalent of the aldehyde in just 3 hours at 70 °C.
Affordable and easy to handle.

It is not too expensive and worked well for my project. I would recommend it.
