I used this peptide to examine a novel protein-protein interaction in a cell-free system. Given that ferroportin is a transmembrane protein, this can be difficult and has numerous caveats.

Consider placing the protein in liposome for interaction.
I was able to preliminarily show a novel protein-protein interaction. The blot shows in order: excess protein A, ferroportin, and the two combined. The amount of ferroportin used was too faint to detect with a simple protein stain, but I saw a combined band in the last lane.
