Antibodies are produced by plasma cells (PC) that are terminally differentiated B cells and play crucial roles in host protection against infections but are considered to mediate autoimmunity in patients with rheumatic diseases, such as systemic lupus (SLE) or rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Our research aims at understanding the biology of B cells and antibody-secreting cells (ASC) in health and disease, in this experiment we are looking for B cell subsets expressing CD352.

Results Summary

Cells were gated for single lymphocytes based on side scatter, forward scatter and dead cells were excluded based on propidium iodide fluorescence.CD352 is expressed by the majority of lymphocytes, such as T and B cells (CD19+), as shown in the dot plot. The histogram shows also an FMO control in red.
