I often study cells grown in bi-chamber plates, leading to much difficultly in collecting them for western blotting. In those circumstances, I use this with BME to denature and reduce the cells right on the inserts. This allows me to collect all of the cells and directly load for western blotting.

I was this for all of my insert cells for western blotting. I can nicely collect the cells after they are denatured with this and the BME added.
Great for direct cell denaturing.
Smells when BME is added.
