Company:

Invitrogen

Product Name:

Dynabeads™ Protein G

Catalog Number:

10003D

I used these dynabeads to attempt coIP. However, I ran into several troubleshooting problems. The main issue I had was that the antibody I chose to IP my target protein would elute off of the beads and cross react with the secondaries in western blotting. The heavy chain IgG was the same size as my protein of interest. For that reason, I preferred to use a his tag magnetic bead that does not use an antibody.

Lots of trouble shooting.

Results Summary

After a lot of troubleshooting surrounding crosslinking the Ab to the beads and using a non-reducing elution protocol, I was able to use these beads to immunoprecipitate my proteins of interest.
