Antibodies are produced by plasma cells (PC) that are terminally differentiated B cells and play crucial roles in host protection against infections but are considered to mediate autoimmunity in patients with rheumatic diseases, such as systemic lupus (SLE) or rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Our research aims at understanding the biology of B cells and antibody-secreting cells (ASC) in health and disease, in this experiment we are looking for an antibody to stain follicular B cells in the spleen. Follicular B cells are known to express CD23.

Here, I am showing the result of the antibody titration. After gating lymphocytes, singlets and live cells, it is possible to observe that part of the B cells (CD19+) express CD23. I will use this antibody at a dilution of 1/400-800.
