This antibody was used in mice P12 brain sections to determine the subset neurons in the upper layer. however, SATB2 is known to label most of the layers of the brain cortex and hence the staining is positive for all the layers of the brain cortex.
Works with Antigen retrieval (10mM Sodium citrate-boiling)
Labelling could be very good if standardised.
Blood vessels could be stained sometimes, labels most of the excitatory neurons rather than layer 2-3 neurons.
Good signal, can be used as a general neuronal marker.
