It is almost universal that labs studying human WBCs need a common leukocyte marker to distinguish the WBC population from debris, RBCs and platelets. We use CD45 in all our panels and therefore need it in different conjugates. Here, we selected CD45 PC7 and show that it works very well.

Results Summary

Results show very good separation between the WBCs (lymphocytes in red, monocytes in green, and granulocytes in blue) compared to non-leukocytes (i.e. debris, RBC and platelets in grey). This allows us to gate on the WBCs and clean up the data significantly, especially in less than optimal specimens.
