CD5 is typically used for identification of T cells; however, in our lab we also use it to identify chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small cell lymphoma. In these conditions, B cells aberrantly express the T cell marker CD5. Therefore, it is very important to include a good CD5 marker when CLL is suspected. We chose this antibody.

Results Summary

The product was easy to optimize and easy to use in a multicolor panel. The signal intensity is just about perfect - not too bright and not too dim. As shown in the image, CD5+ cells (T-cells) are painted blue, and are distinct from granulocytes (grey), monocytes (green) and B cells (magenta).
