CD61 (integrin β3) associates with CD41 (integrin αIIb) to form the αIIb/β3 complex, which lays dormant on the surface of resting platelets but undergoes rapid conformational changes following platelet activation, allowing fibrinogen binding and platelet-platelet aggregation. Citrate-anticoagulated human whole blood was diluted 1:10 in HEPES-Tyrodes-BSA containing PerCP anti-human CD61 Antibody. Lyse/fix buffer was added, and samples were acquired by flow cytometry. PerCP anti-human CD61 Antibody provides good staining of CD61 and allows the clear resolution of platelets from background.
