I have used this antibody to detect 5HT neurons in the brain. It has worked very well in sample of rat and mouse.

Incubation was done with Ab diluted to 1:1,000 for 16h at 4ºC

Incubation was done with 2nd Ab diluted to 1:1,000 for 1h at room temperature

In all cases reactivity is quite good at 1:1,000 dilution. This protein is detected only in 5HT-neurons and thus can be used to differentiate these neutron from the other cells from the brainstem
