CD20, a marker used for the identification of mature B cells, can be downregulated and can appear dim, especially in cases of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL). Therefore, labs will often need a CD20 conjugated to bright fluorochrome. This antibody is just that, but it comes with a few problems.

Results Summary

Although the antibody stained the B cells well (shown in blue), the negative population appeared spread out a lot. This makes it harder to resolve dim populations when CD20 is downregulated. In addition, the positive cells are very bright, which can cause terrible compensation issues in nearby channels, e.g. PE, ECD and PC5.
