Product Name:

CD15-PB

Catalog Number:

Clone Number:

80H5

Staining granulocytes with anti-CD15 is not always straightforward. Some antibodies cause lysis of granulocytes when ammonium chloride is used to lyse the RBC. We needed to test these antibodies for that effect before using them in our assays.

Results Summary

Our results show that this antibody stains granulocytes cleanly (even if a little dimly). It does not affect these cells negatively and does not causes their lysis despite using NH4Cl to lyse the RBC in the prep. Please see my other CD15 review which demonstrate how other clones can cause significant loss of granulocytes.

Summary

The Good

Good staining. No loss of granulocytes.

The Bad

A little dim (PB is a dim fluorochrome)

The Bottom Line

This is the antibody that you'd want to use when staining for granulocytes, Beware of the ones that cause granulocyte loss (See my other CD15 review).
