Info: Supplier Page
I am studying a protein that is usually responsible for male gonad differentiation in mammals but is recently found out to be implicated in Parkinson's disease (PD). This protein is not present in the flies and I am trying to express it in the brain of the animal to check if its expression would cause changes/phenotypes that can be linked to PD.
Check presence of absence of protein in Western Blot
Protein
Have additional wash (from 3, increase it to 5) after the Ab-Ag binding to ensure cleaner results
SRY protein (the protein I was trying to express in Drosophila) was clearly detected in Western Blot.
Fast and intuitive
Need extra washing steps to clean up protein of interest
The kit is quite expensive but it would save you time for your experiments.
