This sigma Red extract is a PCR master-mix that contains Mgcl, nucleotides and DNA polymerases. It is a very convenient kit for genotyping mouse from DNA extracted from the tails using sigma XNAT DNA extraction kit. The red color in the reaction mix helps in tracking the samples while running gel and also while making reaction mixture in PCR tubes (especially when you are genotyping a lot of sample). Very nifty that the user doesn't have to be extremely attentive, just need to add three components (Primers + Template + Mastermix).
