Info: Supplier Page
This sigma MG132 is a potent proteosome inhibitor used to reduce ubiquitin conjunction in proteins which mediates them for proteosomal degradation. This inhibitor is used to study short lived cytoplasmic proteins which are prone to proteosomal degradation. In cultured cells a final concentration of 2 micromolar this is enough to inhibit the proteasomal activity.
Western blotting
Cultured cells and animal models
Reconstitute and aliquots them into smaller volumes and store at -20
Increased expression of proteins protected from proteosomal degradation can be detected by western blotting.
Soluble in DMSO and results are very consistent.
Takes a long time to dissolve.
Good for you proteosomal inhibition assays.
