HiTrap® Protein G High Performance Columns

Catalog Number:

GE17-0404-01

Immunoglobulin G from antisera raised for specific antigen stimulation in rabbits in controlled experiments were purified with fast kinetics using HiTrap Protein G HP columns. The yield was 10 mg/mL of sera used. Purify was greater than 95%.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

Separation and purification of IgG from Rabbit antiserum

Starting Material

2 ml of serum samples per HiTrap Protein G HP column

Tips

Make sure to saturate column with buffer before loading the samples. Use buffers with pH around 3 to 4 to elute IgG.

Results Summary

Overall, using HiTrap Protein G HP columns, IgG was eluted in fast kinetics. Elution can be done at 4mL per minute. The yield obtained was 10 mg/mL of elution.

Summary

The Good

Highly specific for separation/elution of IgG from the samples. Eluation can be achieved with fast kinetics (binding and elution)

The Bad

None

The Bottom Line

Highly recommended for purification or separation of IgG or IgG subclass from the samples.
